Goldy Mayer

Meet Goldy Mayer. Ms. Mayer is our Student Council Sponsor. `

Ms. Mayer teaches biology and aquatics at Westside High School.
Her goals for Student Council is for the program to become more inclusive while forging a community with both students and admin. Ms. Mayer wants STUCO members to feel like they have a voice and can positively impact our school and peers.

Dhriti Gupta
Student Body President
Meet Dhriti Gupta. Dhriti is our Student Body President. She is a senior attending Westside High School.

Dhriti's favorite things about STUCO are meeting new members, engaging with the community, and working to improve her school environment through planning with her fellow officers. Her personal goal for the club falls into aiming to elevate the reputation of STUCO as a fun and engaging leadership program by working with each grade level-based officer team to promote and organize creative events.

When Dhriti is not busy with STUCO, she enjoys reading, puzzles, board games kickboxing and food.

Faith Olabanji
Student Body Vice President/Historian
Meet Faith Olabanji. Faith is our Student Body Vice President and Historian. She is a senior attending Westside High School.

Faith's favorite thing about STUCO is how the program gives students an opportunity to speak themselves and provides them a voice. Her personal goal for the club is to document impacts that STUCO makes in and at Westside High School.

When Faith's not busy with STUCO, she enjoys performing in theatre plays and debating at tournaments.

Tyler Strempel
Senior Class President
Meet Tyler Strempel. Tyler is our Senior Class President. He is a senior attending Westside High School.

Tyler's favorite thing about STUCO is how the program is able to raise awareness for important issues and raise school spirit to make Westside a better place for all of our students. His personal goal for the club is to make it the one-stop-shop for resources and assistance at Westside, and to make the lives of our students easier in a busy school year.
​
When Tyler's not busy with STUCO, he enjoys watching Houston sports, rooting for the Astros, handling technology and building/researching computers, serving as President for Westside High School's Moonlit Theatre Company and helping people around him.
Bella Morales
Senior Class Vice President
Meet Bella Morales. Bella is our Senior Class Vice President. She is a senior attending Westside High School.

Bella's favorite thing about STUCO would be the different events her and her fellow officers come up with and host throughout the year. Additionally, she loves seeing students join and participate with her and her team. Her personal goals for the club are to create a memorable year, especially for Westside High School seniors, get members involved to participate in club events, and make sure people have a great time at the events her and her team plans for them.

When Bella's not busy with STUCO, she enjoys playing video games, Roblox, and sleeping.
Brianna Gillaspie
Junior Class President
Meet Brianna Gillaspie. Brianna is our Junior Class President. She is a junior attending Westside High School.

Brianna's favorite thing about STUCO would be how the program gives students the opportunity to voice their opinions and concerns about the school and make improvements. Her personal goal for the club is to have every student council member become familiar with one another, leading STUCO to be able to come together and work hand and hand with the school and make everyone’s desires for this year come true.

When Brianna's not busy with STUCO, she enjoys baking, journaling, watching football and listen to podcasts and music.
Luke Castro
Junior Class Vice President
Meet Luke Castro. Luke is our Junior Class Vice President. He is a junior attending Westside High School.

Luke's favorite thing about STUCO would be helping out the community with his friends. His personal goal for the club is to encourage students to achieve their potential through work and community support.

Rocio Gutierrez
Sophomore Class President
Meet Rocio Gutierrez. Rocio is our Sophomore Class President. She is a sophomore attending Westside High School.

Rocio's favorite thing about STUCO would be meeting new people and being able to provide ideas for different projects and activities. Her personal goal for the club is to make STUCO a more fun and active group, keeping members engaged and excited to help out in different volunteering opportunities.

When Rocio's not busy with STUCO, she enjoys being a part of Pride, JROTC, and listening to music.
Ariel Valdez
Student Body Secretary
Meet Ariel Valdez. Ariel is our Student Body Secretary. She is a sophomore attending Westside High School.

Ariel's favorite thing about STUCO is how involved STUCO is with the school and the students. Her personal goal for the club is to make sure everyone gets the appropriate hours needed and everyone's hours are counted for correctly.

When Ariel's not busy with STUCO, she enjoys soccer, reading, watching movies/shows, and art.
Sarah Truman
Student Body Social Media Manager
Meet Sarah Truman. Sarah is our Student Body Social Media Manager. She is a junior attending Westside High School.

Sarah's favorite thing about STUCO are the people she gets to meet and collaborate with. She believes STUCO has such a special community and is so glad to be a part of program. Her personal goal for the club is to help make the students feel that they’re a part of a greater cause. Whether that’s picking out themes for HOCO, donating to food drives, and much more. Sarah wants them to feel they make a difference because they do!

When Sarah's not busy with STUCO, she enjoys playing softball for Westside, writing, reading. In fact, her favorite book is Six Of Crows by Leigh Bardugo.
